Joanne is a Geologist, Biogeography and member of the Comet Research Group. when She became interested in the younger dryas impact hypothesis she began drilling lake cores in search of evidence for biomass burning as well as vegetational & environmental changes from the LGM to the Holocene.

last year joanne provided forensic evidence of suspected continental fires across north america in the paleo record, and specifically links them to the initiation of the younder dryas period. co-author of several important papers on the younger dryas cataclysm, joanne exemplifies the best of informed and open-minded scientific investigation of cosmic catastophes.
